Any tapered barrel .44 Special is fine by me but the 4" is a favorite ! :)

yankee7809,
You need to watch Gunbroker....I sold a 624 snub-nose a month or two back...it went for a tad less than eight bills...w/o box or tools.

Bob

I will be looking there although I've been reluctant to "shop"online in the past. Thanks for the tip I intend to be watching!

I have two. A 6 1/2" 1950 target shipped 1/17/55 and a 4" 24-3 that I bought new in 1984. I ratholed the original grips to the 1950 and cant find them. I have faux ivory on the 24-3. Got the grips stashed. I am also showing a HD that I had a model 21 5" barrel put on. Also own a triplelock and two .44 special colt saa,s.

feralmerrill,

Nice well rounded collection. But, you need a 5 1/2 Colt .44 Special to finish it out. And...one of them 3 1/2 inch M24-3s or the same in the M624. And of course...you're gonna "need" a S & W 3rd Model [Wolf and Kalr] 4 inch .44 Special too!!

Never enough. Here is a ruger I had made up to .44 special in the mid 1970s. I dont have it anymore.

Yes, I belive so. I had a gunsmith friend, Bill Choats, that had a shop in palmdale california. I had run the idea past him. He went ahead and did something close to 10 of them. He used douglas,s barrels and simply reamed out the .357 clyinders to .44 special.
