Not wanting to hijack Puller's thread I was wondering what the consensus would be for changing the DST change-over to Sunday night vs Saturday night as it is. Everyone hates Mondays and going to work Monday morning but if you could get that extra hour of sleep Sunday night instead of Saturday night it just might make that Monday morning a little more bearable. Of course, us old retired farts probably couldn't care less but how about you folks that are still working?

Occurred to me while resetting my clocks and watches back Saturday night that with my cell phone and computer it would be no problem to change them anymore.

Changing the time is stupid. Just have folks, kids, etc. start an hour earlier or later. We are up to it.

Pretty much what I have been thinking, but people would complain about having to get up so early. They like to be fooled. So, we change the clocks. Go figure!
This is especially true for the folks that want year around DST.

There were some attempts to eliminate DST during the Oil Emabrgo/Energy Crisis of 1973-1974. There were a lot of complaints that the kiddies were waiting for their school busses in the dark.

No big deal.
As far as the computers and your phone, they do it themselves. They just know-it's magic.
As far as old blue-her clock hasn't read the correct time for a while-and I kinda have gotten used to the blinking.
The kitchen clock stays the same year round-last time I changed it the wife got pissed because she was used to adding or subtracting the hour. If she is happy, I'm happy-besides I never look at it anyway.
The stove and microwave...that's her department.
The only thing I need to do is re-set the Rolex which I did this morning.
If I had my druthers, I would vote for daylight savings time year round ad I really do not like it getting dark so early. Hell I was up on Long Island for the end of November one year and it started getting dark at 3:30!!!

A the bottom of the world.....

.. I am enjoying sitting in my chair in the sun room in the evenings enjoying the daylight. It lasts until 8:30 pm right now, but will stretch out to after 9 pm by the solstice.
