That rear sight blade is huge. It must be a replacement.

The front Patridge is also extremely tall. Ala ;Smithnut style.
I don't know how these would give a clue to the model of this gun from this angle.

Seeing as how Smithnut primarily collects 3"K frames, I'm going to say a 3" model 19 performance center gun of some kind.

How about the 1995 Special for Lew Horton ,3" magnaported full lug barrel.
Approximately 75 manufactured , product code 100701 ??

Regards ,,Allen F.?

How about a 4" Model 14 (either -5 or -6), from the PC, made for PPC teams and officers? Also known as Roper guns, for the distributor who had them made.

Good morning all, RWJ - right on! Glad someone sorted this out, was beginning to worry...

As for the grips, just put them on to take photos, didn't want to put up any undressed models on display.

Here's some more:

I'd have to say this model represents about the epitome of what a modern K frame should be, all the right features, looks, size, functionality. Absolutely my favorite... until a better one comes along

No PC markings. The two distinguising features, that I've not seen on other models are the high profile sights and the unique barrel crown. Of course, the 4" barrel is different too.
The Product Code is all Performance Center, starting with 170xxx.

None of mine will ever get sold (although I might trade one for the elusive RB model, as seen in the flyer.... love it)
