Before yesterday's range trip my BG 2.0 had 150 rds. of Magtech 95 gr. FMJ and 50 rds. of Blazer Brass 95 gr. FMJ, and 8 rds. of Speer 90 gr. GD.
All flawless.

Yesterday I tested 8 Federal 99 gr. HST. Had FIRST malfunction with the BG. The fired rd. of HST got stuck mostly outside of the chamber and parallel to the slide (not a stove pipe), and the next rd. got partially chambered. I've never seen that exact mis-feed before.

What defensive ammo are you using in your Bodyguard 2.0?

I'm planning to carry exclusively the Gold Dots until I've had the $$$ to test more HST.

I also tested the first 10 hand loads I ever made for 380, 100 gr. Berry's Bullets over 3.0 gr. of Win 231 (COL of .9775). Note: This is NOT an officially publicized load, as far as I know. I extrapolated based on published data I could find. I AM NOT SUGGESTING THIS LOAD TO ANYONE BECAUSE I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL.

The hand load worked very well. The picture below is a 5-rd. group from 7 yards. The group is to the left. I am left-handed. I do not think this printing left is the fault of the gun. I blame the fact that I do not shoot tiny single stacks as well as I shoot everything else.

I've shot Winchester FMJ Flat Nose 95 gr and Sig Sauer Elite Flat Nose 100 gr with zero issues.

I have also shot Winchester, PDX1 BJHP 95 gr, Sig Sauer Elite JHP 90 gr, Hornady Custom XTP 90 gr, Hornaday Critical Defense FTX 90 gr, Federal HST JHP 99 gr, PMC Bronze FMJ 90 gr, and Magtech FMJ 95 gr with zero issues.

My defense carry ammo is 1st round PMC Bronze FMJ 90 gr, 2nd round is Hornady Critical Defense FTX 90 gr., the rest are Federal HST JHP 99 gr.

My barrel feed ramp has been polished.

I'd bet a 6-pack your BG2 sights are not POA/POI at 7 yards.

Precision one XTP is my current carry ammo. Winner of the ammo quest from shooting the bull on you tube for short barrel 380's.

I have also shot Speer gold dots with no issue. Speer seems to perform better in my 380ez than the BG2.0 shorter barrel in online testing. No feeding issues.

I'm going to compare the precision one vs. underwood XTP +P for accuracy soon. The underwood in +P seems to be the best of the bunch for feeding, expansion and penetration with the short barrel BG2.0. At least in all the videos I've watched. YMMV

What are your thoughts on the using/comparing +P in the BG2?

Missing left as a left hander, interesting.

What are your thoughts on the using/comparing +P in the BG2?

Lots of opinions on that, for me personally I have no issue using it for personal defense ammo. Wouldn't want to use +P all the time for range ammo in any caliber.

For instance, I generally prefer standard pressure in 9mm for defense ammo vs. +P and I tried both +P and +P+ at one time. I think in 9mm +P is not necessary for defensive use; the non +P ammo is reliable and consistent in hollow point performance (I use Federal 124gr HST standard pressure). I believe for 380 the extra speed is pretty important based on my observations from all the online testing.

Though the Precision one XTP was pretty solid in short barrel testing and it's nearly 25% per round cheaper vs. Underwood both use the same Hornady XTP bullet. It seems that speed is king for 380 hollow point performance.

Just my thoughts, FWIW

Yes, it is interesting. When I am off it's usually to the right.

I blamed the fact that the BG is so small that I don't get a great grip (very possible), but Gnarls suggested that my sights might be off. I guess I need to have someone else see how it shoots for them.
