Let's see your grips on a Model 66-1, 2 1/2"

Thanks to all who have posted! Those are some great looking grips!

Unfortunately, I checked out Keith Brown's web site and saw his retro Roper grips for the 66 2" and some other models of his art. If I can get my pennies together and get rid of a couple of duplicates, I hope To have him make me a special set of grips. Then, if I can dispose of a few more, I will be contacting su amigo, Dave about making me a Sunday-go-to-meeting rig. Won't that astonish my fellow parishoners at my local Episcopal Church.

This is a GREAT FORUM and I appreciate all of the wonderful information that comes in every time that I post a question.

Many thanks again,

medxam

M66-1 with Ahrends ( I forgot the type of wood). I find them a bit thick so I intend to thin them a bit.

Cordia wood, I think.

Thanks Maximumbob54, I think you are correct.

Bronco45 the holster is unmarked. I found it for $5.00 in the used leather bin at a local gunshop. Sometimes even the lackadaisal get lucky! Thanks for the nice comments.

Nice grips guys! Really love them Spegals but they all look beautiful. Cirrus that is a keeper of a pic on your 66-2. Gotta beak out the camera and take fresh pics of my 3 K frame snubbies with their different shoes when my stags for my nickel 19 arrive. Sure could use a polished Tyler for it but either miss em or won't pay the crazy prices they're fetching.

Thanks. It's not a 66-2 though. It's a no-dash!

Thanks. Can you offer a comparison of the feel of the two? I saw one poster describe them as a little thick. Or, could anyone offer another candidate?

medxam ......... your thinkin' Keith Brown grips, is right on! I feel your 66-1 / 2.5" definitely deserves either a set of presentation walnut grips from Blu Magnum blu-magnum.com or Keith Brown keithbrowngrips.com. I have smooth finished grips from both, and their fit & finish is truly exceptional. It appears you're already familiar with KB, so why not check out Blu Magnum while your at it, providing you haven't already done so. Their prices are comparable, as is their superb craftsmanship.

FWIW, when looking up Blu Magnum grips... put a - betweeen blu and magnum. Other wise you will see an electronic cigarette.

My 66 2.5 no dash is currently wearing Pachmayr Compacts. If I could come up with nice Tyler t grips, I'd put the stock magnas back on.

Heres my 66-1 sporting a pair of factory banana grips, they are a very light color wood.
