Let's see your kit gun!

Nframe is number 1
I stand corrected. My S/N is M111XXX. I looked at page 351 of the SCSW under "M Serial Prefix" Models 34, 35, 43, 51, 63. M1-M30000 would be 1969-1971.
On page 224 it shows the 63 was introduced in 1977. Full production started with M103577. I still like my 63 a lot!

My 34-1. I've always liked the feel of the little heavy .22

OK, here's mine. 1968 Model 63 no -, P&R with smooth targets.
Sad story - I bought it from a nice gentleman about my age (67). He said he bought it new to teach his son and daughter to shoot, and hopefully to get them interested in shooting sports. But alas, they had no interest in guns and neither wanted it.
In 2014 he put it up for sale on a "Handguns for sale" site and I was lucky enough to get it. Great guy and I felt his pain.
Now, me and my wife shoot the heck out of it and it rests nicely in an "official" S&W 22/34 holster while quail hunting, waiting for that "sitting bunny shot".

Maybe 1978?

The price of these neat little guns has rose sharply in the last few years! ( perhaps a bit faster that most others except maybe the n frames)
I really want to pick up a couple but they are getting hard to find - in my are I visit four shops fairly frequently and in the last 8 months have seen just two, and they were in what I feel is mint in the box pricing. I want a using gun but hope not to eventually settle for buying a mint one since prices have gone crazy.
