Hey everyone,

I've had a hankering for an S&W Model 65 lately. So I was just wondering if you would be willing to post any pictures you have of yours to hold me over! Thanks in advance!

Here is one of my favorites.

bought mine 18 months ago and bobbed the hammer... it was a police trade in, since then I have put a new hammer in it and I am now carrying it on duty.... great guns...

Here are the 2 M65's that I bought from CDNN.
one came as a RB and the front one came as a SB to start with until I converted it to a RB grip frame.
both are great shooters and a lot easier to carry then you would think.
I carry one or the other every day.

Here are mine that I found unfired (except for factory test fire) and in NIB condition in a local gun shop. The 65 and the 13 are both dash 2s:

Paid only $363 for the 13-2; and $373 for the 65-2!

They came complete with boxes, all papers, and tools that were original.

65s, 66s and 67s at CDNN right now. Worth checking into. 1 800 588 9500

Here are two examples of the great "deals" CDNN has to offer on those M65's. I've already refinished the third one I bought(all ordered at the same time) and didn't get any pictures of it prior to doing so.

Model 65-3 4"

Note the poorly replaced trigger pin, and the grind mark directly below it. Also note the staining on the gripframe.

None of those show the sloppy lockup or well peened cylinder notches.

And here are some more of a M65-2 from CDNN

Personally, I'm not impressed. Some of you may have gotten better guns, and I won't argue with you if you did. I know what I got, and I know they were in poor shape. It's going to be VERY hard for me to order anything used from them again.

This one used to be in my collection. Model marked as a M65, but unfortunately lettered as a M64... bummer

Here's a few others that still remain:

Man I have seen some beat up guns, but thats terrible that they sent you guns that bad.
the ones I got came just the way they look in my picture, but if they had come as bad looking as yours,i would have sent them back.
thats a bummer they treated you like that.

I don't blame you for being upset about that CDNN deal. I bought two model 65s and was very pleased with them. One was the (better condition) for 20 bucks more and the other was in the (lesser condition) but I could not tell any difference. They were both great condition and both shoot better than I can.By the way Great photos

Im getting ready to have one of my M65 4" cut down to 3" and have a new sight installed.
was the sight on your gun made for that type of conversion or is it off another model of gun and if so which one??
