***I originally posted this to show off my growing stainless snubnose collection, and I've seen some great examples from other members. So, now let's see everyone else's SS snubs***

Hey, everyone. Just wanted to post up a few pictures of my SS S&W's. I bought an Airweight 442 last year, and since then I've gotten more and more into S&W's...the older ones, the ones without the safety locks and MIM parts. As you can tell from the photos, I'm partial to SS snubnoses; I haven't ruled out longer barrel S&W's, but I really like the durability and looks of SS guns vs blued ones. The smaller ones, J-frames, are all .38 Special and of the bigger ones, both K-frames, one is a .357 Magnum and the other is a .38 Special. The bigger K-frame is my newest one and currently occupies my primary CCW role. Thanks for looking -Rob

Real nice collection. I really like stainless guns myself. My k frame 66 2.5 is my EDC. They don't get much better then that.

Very nice collection....indeed! Perhaps you should add a SS 649 Bodyguard to complete the set.

Very nice start to a collection. I started with a 642-1 3 years ago and now also have the bug! I love the stainless snubbies as well.

Thanks for all the compliments, guys :) That 629 looks really nice, but I'm trying to stick to .38/.357 right now. I've been thinking about adding a 649 (in .38), but I'm having a hard time accepting the humpback look :/ And the 442 I was referencing is a newer production no-lock -2...while the Centennial pictured is a no-dash 640 of mid-90's vintage. I can see where the two would get mixed up though! I should be adding a M64 to this little collection tomorrow :D

Beautiful collection. If you really want to make those SS look good use Mother's Mag Wheel Polish. It made my Model 66-2 4" look better than new.

I used Mother's Mag on the M66, the M60-7, and the "new" M64-2 that I just picked up today. It's crazy how well those SS guns can clean up :D

The mdl.60 with the diemond grips,what year,maybe 1967?
Dick

Unfortunately, I don't believe so. The serial is R1432XX, and I was told that puts this M60 between 1974-1977. I bought the diamond magnas separately because I like the way the vintage grips look. I'd love to find a '65-'70 vintage example, from when they still shipped with the diamond grips and SS grip screws and medallions...but I'm happy with what I have for now :)

Here's a picture of my model 60-14. It's my first (and only for now) revolver. Not sure when it was made but serial is CPE82XX.

I'm pretty fond of stainless J-frames, as well. Here is a representative sample of the snub-nosed variety (a 60-7, a 63-3, a 649, a 640-1, and a 642-1):

I may or may not have a few more here and there...

Very nice group. Now you need to add another caliber, like these .32 magnums: Model 631 Lady Smith, Model 632, Model 631.

You got me going on this one, so here are my stainless snub nose S&W's. 66-1 which I bought new in the late 70's and my Wife's 649 (no-). That's all I got.

Nice snubs, Frailer :D The more I see 649's, the more I think I should pick one up. I already have 2 Centennials though, so I know it wouldn't get carried :/ My J collection does need one though...***OH! And a snubnose M63!! Very nice! That one is very high on my wish list.
