Letter arrives for Pre War HD

Does anyone else know of these Durham Police Department Revolvers, any history there. I checked google for images of the Durham Police Department for that period did not come up with much. I bought the gun at an auction in Statesville NC, not too far from Durham.

Try contacting the PD if it still exists. Most departments have a historian aboard.

Mine went to Dept. of public safety in Coraopolis, PA & shipped on 18 Aug. 1931 & cost $23.05!
Only went up $0.46 in six years!

That wouldn't happen now for sure........
