Hello , I bought a 629-1 3" awhile back and called Lew Horton to confirm it was one of theirs, I talked to a gentlemen at LH who said it was one of their guns and a early one and the records where logged in a back area and would take awhile to find.

I have also called S&W and they told me it was not shipped to lew horton directly it was drop shipped to california , when I asked the smith and wesson rep if this was done for LH they said it was more then likely shipped there for LH but they where not 100%
My question is there a price difference between it being a Lew Horton or not , I've read the order was for 5000 pistols and they stopped half way thru and the remaining pistol were sold thru smith and wesson but they where fewer in number and are actually worth more lol!
Thanks for any info

Congratulations!
It's interesting that Lew Horton was the distributor but I do not think it adds significant value. Regardless it's a very nice and desirable gun.
Enjoy it.

I don't think it adds any intrinsic value to the gun but it can increase the interest to certain collectors bidding on it which can drive up the sales price above what the already nice price would be for that model. They are very nice guns and highly desirable in the market right now.
