Lewis Lead Remover

Go to the Notable Thread Index in the early hand ejector section. Find the "lead in barrel" thread. Do as you're told.

Love your writing style in that post Ralph! I have done basically the same as you described and can say it works very well.

The brass chore bore trick works fine, just be sure it is BRASS. Some of the cheaper off brand "brass" scrubber pads are brass coated steel.
Thanks for the heads up because that's what I'm going to try. I'm pretty much done with running LRN, it's gotten to be too high maintenance

I'll join the chorus in favor of the Lewis Lead remover.
I'm fortunate in having bought one in every caliber I regularly shoot years ago along with a healthy supply of screens.

It's amazing some days in the sheets of lead it will peel out of a revolver's bore!
Bullets like the swaged Zero brand have proven exceptionally accurate. At least until they coat the bore in a lead sheath.

(And, NO! I am not ever going to start casting, sizing and lubing my own bullets!)

The ChoreBoy technique works but in my experience just isn't as thorough or as fast as the Lewis tools.

I've mostly switched to plated bullets and pretty much eliminated the problem except for a few calibers where plated are not available or of a desirable design.
Also making clean up faster and easier without the lube residue everywhere.
