LGS Find: Model 49; Worth the Price?

Obviously priced so they can dicker. It is nice to hold the gun before plunking down any money. I've spent an awful lot of money on gas over the years finding deals. If it is something you have been looking for then I would go with dickering on my mind and do a bit of talking with cash money in your hand. Anything in person is better than internet purchase gambling on a story about what is for sale.

The shop owner did every one a favor. The tire kickers won't ask to see it. It won't be covered with fingerprints and have the trigger snapped a thousand times and the cylinder Hollywood treated while waiting for an actual serious buyer. Someone with actual money.

Snubbie's prices are really low here: concealed carry is extremely limited, and the market punishes these guns

ZOMBIE THREAD!!!!

It's fun to bring some of these back for historical perspective!

Steel Jframes are harder to find now, at least in my area. I lucked into a 1969 Model 49 on an auction site for a good price. Some of them with all the papers and box are priced astronomically! Of course, asking price isn't selling price all the time.

Given it's been two years, do these opinions still hold?

And yes, I feel like Dr. Froderik Frankensteen....

OP says it might be unfired. Added with the box, I'd say that raises the bar a good bit, price wise, IMO.

$895 may indeed be a bit too high, but I'd bet it would sell to someone between $700-800. If in fact it is "unfired".

My .o2
