Rubiranch YOU have been through the proverbial ringer! I'm glad you don't seem to be more seriously hurt from the accident. My stepson (type 1 diabetic who doesn't take care of himself) had a suger drop about six months ago and totaled his car. He spent the night in the hospital under observation but he was okay.

My oldest sister had that happen to her years ago. She totaled her new 1969 Mach 1.

I'm 68 right now and you are 100% correct.
At times I think I should be upset or something but its more like
I've been given anther opportunity.

Jeepers! Glad your recovery is going well. What is going to happen regarding your driving license? I know some jurisdictions can be pretty heavy regarding seizures.

My primary care APRN told me I can't drive for 90 days but has
yet to notify the DMV.

I don't see there being an issue after the 90 days for her to clear me.

My neurosurgeon is very please with the surgery and how
quickly I have recovered from the surgery and so is my primary care.

I doubt that I'll go beck full time. They'll take me beck any time I want to work.

The swelling from the blood that was surrounding the scare tissue
is what caused the seizure and that's been take care of.

I don't see there being and reoccurrences and neither do my doctors.

Geez Rubi, that must have been a heck of a ride down that ravine. Glad you are OK. If we had a story rating system, you would be in the top 1%.

Pete is who sent me an email asking where I've been for the last little while.

I drove about 15-20 miles from Kanab to where I went off the road and into
the river and I don't remember even one second of it.

In all reality I couldn't have picked a better place to crash. The
truck kept the rubber down and I walked away with a scraped hand
and knee, otherwise totally unhurt.

There's a sheer drop off about 1/4 mile prior to where I went off the road
that had I gone off there I seriously doubt that I'd be here
sharing anything with anyone.

My lucky day. Maybe that's why I'm not upset, mad or anything else, just grateful.

We all have a choice. We can either be bitter for what we don't have or
grateful for what we do have. And that's always been and easy choice for me to make.

I'm sure happy for you to be able to get the medical that you need when you need it.
I hope you continue to heal up!!
I'm finding out more about the Huntsman Center than I ever planned on knowing.

If you have cancer that's where you need to be and I hope
that you don't.

I've been dealing with advanced stage 4 metastatic melanoma for over
11 years that has sprees all over my body and multileg organs
including my brain twice.

They have taught my immunes system to kill cancer.

If I went in today for blood work, MRI and CT-scans they wouldn't find any cancer.




This is one of the license plates off the truck I crashed.

I truly believe that everyone at Huntsman are Angels that have
been sent here from Heaven to help care for people like me.
