Lifelock?

I signed up for LifeLock about six months ago after having my debit card and credit card compromised on separate occasions.

I recently bought a new truck and LifeLock called me on my cellphone to confirm that I was making the purchase. They also asked some questions that only I knew the answer to. (I presume this was in case my cellphone was also compromised.)

LifeLock may not be perfect but it does evidently remove some hassles, so it's worth it to me.

A credit freeze is the best solution. It shuts down your credit file completely and no one can open up an account. When you need to use credit to but a car or open an account you can unfreeze the file and then refreeze it. Here is some good info on how to do it.

I signed up for it with our credit.It is true you can do these things for free,but they have 1,000,000 identity theft insurance if someone does get ahead of the curve and is successful.I also can't guarantee that I won't forget to do everything needed every three months so in that case the peice of mind is worth the fee in itself.I also have triple credit report monitoring which will alert me if there are any attempts made to access my credit and I can access my credit reports and FICO scores any time.......God Bless.......Mike
