Interesting find someone has. What would one of these be worth? Are the common at all?

There are more Light Rifle Manuals then rifles. One problem with the manual was the cover was printed using a very heavy stock. If they are opened enough, the cover torn in half. I've included two pictures of our award winning display this past summer. Two manuals can be seen in the left front. I have only seen one printing.

The S&W produced manuals do turn up from time to time. The rare one is the official Royal Navy manual printed in the war.

Gun Club Fan, is the woodwork in the display from the S&W locked breech 9mm carbine produced late in the war?

No.
That is a prototype stock for the Light Rifle. The spare barrel was also an experimental barrel, it is in .45. They are from Roy Jinks private collection.
