Light Strikes happening with my brand new Shield..

Just a quick update on my faulty brand new shield. I received it back from Smith today with a blank repair order. I had to call in to see what was done to the gun. The rep tells me it had faulty parts.

They modified the barrel chamber, and replaced the striker assy. It's now in spec. Who knows what else was done. I can see where the barrel chamber was modified and you can tell it was done by hand.

I'm happy it got taken care of, but why not send me some free mags for buying a defective pistol? Or list work performed on the repair order?

Why not just replace the entire barrel, so it doesn't look like ****?

I digress...

I wish you would post a picture so we could see what the "hand done" chamber looks like.

I traded mine for an M&Pc, it was just not right, the sights were off, and the mag fell out every 3d or 4th mag. I don't like guns that have major flaws right out of the box. Mine was the 40, and I wasn't going to send it back and wait a month or two. The compact feels better IMO and shoots better. If you can carry a shield, you can carry a compact, the extra rounds make it a better all around deal.

How many rounds do you have of wwb though the gun after it was returned and fixed? I ask because I've had similar issues with wwb through my shield 9mm. I have close to 3000 rounds of federal fiocchi and atlanta arms reloads without a single issue and about 500 or so of wwb with multiple ftf with good primer strikes. I'm curious to see how many rounds of wwb you put through before the problem continues or if it is really an issue with the gun.
