Thought I would share some of my new pairs of shoes. Check these out.

First some bonded Ivories I picked up from forum member Pontiaker. I felt like I got a great deal. Thanks Matt. Here pictured on a S-prefix M-57.

Second are some rosewood aftermarket targets with a shorter than factory butt. They only overhang the end of the frame by about 1/4 inch. No markings to tell who made them. Picked them up at the Vegas show and installed some factory medallions. They're pretty and book matched. Gun is a Pre-21 Factory Pinto. I apologize to those of you who have seen this gun a thousand times before but it makes for a good platform to show off grips.

Lastly, the best of the bunch in my honest opinion. These are a pair of well crafted Kurac grips made by the man himself. Birds eye maple and as good as it gets. John's work is outstanding and these demonstrate a ton of skill and experience. I know because I have tried to do it myself and failed epically. Another big THANK YOU to Kurac.

Great pieces every one! I have a set of "Kurac's" in curly maple, and they are just stunning! However, I do like the rosewood and the bonded ivory. The stocks are really great, but in my opinion, those Smiths are the real deal! Love looking at them.

Does the bonded ivory have a router looking "N" inside them with two extra holes above and below? If so then they may be made by Altamont. They have an ink stamp they usually put inside but it may have rubbed off. I'm not sure what the inside of Ajax's look like, but that is another maybe. I can't remember if Collins does bonded ivory but I know he does Corian that feels and looks VERY similar. That's my last maybe. I would hazard the short targets could be Harret's that someone chopped and refinished. And I agree with everything said about John's work. Those were the best for last. I'm still shopping for a gun deserving of the ebony targets that I bought from him.

Here is my latest addition to the stocks collection, a pair of Kurac's N-frame stocks in matching Bastogne Walnut. The photo can't capture it but the wood shimmers various gold tones in the light as if it were alive, by far the nicest wood I've found yet.

Thanks for all the great feedback. John (Kurac) does do great work and I can't wait to do more business with him in the future. He recently put a bunch of N frame magnas up for sale and I am baffled that they aren't all sold already (shameless plug) as I think his prices are a bargain.

Although the Pinto looks like an HD it's actually a Pre-21 44 HE 4th model. A rare model and even rarer original factory finish. The rosewood does look great on a Pinto revolver.

And since Bill had to bring out the factory Rosewood I figured I'd show my small collection of rosewood. All are factory except the targets. I really like that two of the pairs were purchased from a couple guys on the forum. I have to confess that this whole thread was really just me trying to lure some more pics out of Bill and it worked like magic .

I also have some pics of the back of the bonded ivories. I believe they will turn yellow with time and plenty of use. Only markings I see are a couple dots on the right panel but nothing else.

Those are absolutey gorgeous ! I love a shortened smooth N frame stock. I reworked a beater pair for my 629-4 and did a round to square conversion. They are now my all time favorite stocks
