One 30 round mag or three 10 round mags. The 30 round mag is BAAAAAD. Three 10 round mags is ok.....

And we can spend our way out of debt....

And we can reduce the amount of extra money we want to spend and call that cutting the budget.....

I'm confused....

Modern Liberalism will always be an abject failure... NY decides 7 round limit...

What we now have is class warfare :) how exactly does this limit equally apply to revolvers?

BN.

The problem is when you address the antis with common sense you get labeled as a nut. Example, how long do you think it would have taken the nut to kill all of those kids had he been using a pump shotgun that holds five rounds? Maybe, 30 seconds to a minute longer. How much sooner would help have arrived? No sooner than it did. Their arguments are knee jerk reactions based solely on emotion and no amount of common sense will alter their views.

Just as a note, the NY state legislature is controlled by the Republican party.

It is more accurate to say that collectivist/statist ideology, is a failure, no matter what party is voting for it.

I hate that the progressives stole the Liberal label. Thomas Jefferson was a liberal, for pete sakes...

The first thing I said to my friend at work on the NY 7 round mag was "either this was the idea of somebody that is completely clueless, OR... somebody that knows precisely what the impact will be"...

The whole idea is dangerous and idiotic.

I've read plenty of police accounts, etc. about gun fights; it's very common to shoot with 20-25% accuracy. It's also not uncommon for a man to take multiple shots and still be combat effective. This is simple math then. The lady in GA recently shot the intruder in her home 5 times (out of 6 which is really, really good statistically). If you have to shoot somebody 5 times to stop them, and you shoot at 20% accuracy (which is very reasonable to any person knowledgeable about guns), that means 25 rounds to hit 5 times.... That 30 round mag is looking pretty good about now... And, that's for just ONE bad guy. Good luck if he has a friend or two.

Modern Liberalism spans both parties.... and your correct, we should call them out by the best term "Statists".

I'm still in awe how NY folks let these Statists put forward, and pass a 7 round mag limit.

I don’t see how any gun manufacture will retool, to satisfy the brain dead leanings politicians. About the only handgun that can be bought is a 1911 in .45ACP

I don't think that's correct. According to Ballotpedia.org:

NY STATE SENATE
Prior to the 2012 Election:
Democrats - 29
Republicans - 33

AFTER the 2012 Election:
Democrats - 33
Republicans - 30

NY STATE ASSEMBLY
Prior to the 2012 Election:
Democrats - 99
Republicans - 49
Independents - 1

AFTER the 2012 Election:
Democrats - 105
Republicans - 44
Independents - 1

Assuming Ballotpedia is correct, the NY Legislature was split prior to the election but is now clearly in the hand of the Democrats.
