List of 23 EO just signed ...

Not that I agree with it, but it certainly isn't as bad (on the surface) as I thought it might be. Especially after what happened in New York.

Certainly won't do anything to curb violence, of course.

12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.

18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.

19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.

This even sounds like encouragement for schools to hire security, or allow teachers to utilize their CCWs.

We got a price tag on this inspiration yet?

one thing I have not seen or heard of yet is if there is an AWB for the length of time they are pushing for. They just keep saying AWB and 30RD Mags, well we had that last time and it was 10 years but no word on what they want to accomplish with it this time.

I'm still having a hard understanding why these things weren't already being done?

I can help with this one:
Number 14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.

Dear CDC: When a gun is fired a projectile emerges at a very fast speed. This is the result of the expansion of the gas in the cartridge which propels the little pointy thing on the bullet out the end of the barrel of the gun. Gun violence results when the gun is pointed at a person or property where the high speed pointy thing hits when the gun is fired. If you want to reduce Gun Violence as the President has charged you with doing then do not point the gun at anything or anybody and for goodness sake don't pull the trigger.

Problem solved, analysis complete. Can we move on to #15 please and where should I send the invoice for my analysis?

Not as bad as I feared it might have been. I am the last line of defense for my 2A rights and guns aren't even the most effective weapon I have. Hopefully the inefficacy of this list of EO's will calm the nerves of many angry folks ready to kill over their perceived loss of rights. Keep it in perspective! No one can take away your 2A rights without your permission, if you're ready to die for your beliefs. Anger and fear will not lead to wise decisions. Keep a clear head

There is talk on another board is that maybe obama backed down due to the public outrage. Rumor is, he is incensed that Americans have the audacity to continue to believe in their 2nd Amendment rights and that the NRA got a healthy membership spike.

I just got an e-mail forward from a family friend who happens to be an FBI Agent.
He and his friends are not fooled by the Administrations foolish feel good Executive Actions that chip away at the Second Amendment.
He said:

"I have a proposal that will save over 40,000 lives in the US each year--if ban alcohol outright, that's the number of people who won't die in alcohol-related traffic accidents. No one should be against this proposal because no one "needs" to have alcohol, plus having alcohol is not a Constitutionally-protected right that, "shall not be infringed" so we should be good to go.

Not in support of a full ban? Then why not "reasonable," "common-sense" restrictions that would make people less likely to drive drunk? We could ban all hard liquor, wine, kegs and "high-capacity" beer packs (let's say anything over a four pack, because who needs more than that in one sitting anyway). We could make it so you have to obtain a license, be fingerprinted, and have a background check (showing you haven't had any DUIs) in order to purchase alcohol. We could also institute "drinking and driving free zones" around our schools and in our neighborhoods to protect the kids. If we save one life it's worth it, right"

That is awsome, could not agree more. People say you can not compare booze to guns, I say why not. Its about inocent being killed right? What differance does it make what was used to kill the inoccent?

6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.

They want to background check the seller?

Not as I read it. I believe they are saying that the licensed dealer will run it for a seller, for a fee of course, completing all the paperwork as if the buyer was his customer. This could actually be a financial windfall for dealers since they can charge what they want and their only investment is the time involved.

Well Boys,

The way I'm seeing it from here,

I'm not dazzled by any kind of Brilliance here...
Nor, will I be baffled by any of this BS.

The smoke screen has been lay'd down.
