Little Confused 15-22

So a scope like this NcSTAR Red Dot Sight - Tactical Red Dot With 4 Different Reticles / Black D4B FREE S&H D4B. NcSTAR Red Dot Sights. would be good right. But how do i know if i need a riser or not and will it co-witness my iron sights.

that particular model has a built in riser/mount and it will cowitness just fine out of the box.

a riser would be necessary if you were buying a small tube optic with just rings in order to raise the dot up to match the irons or if you were mounting a traditional scope in order to put your head in a more comfortable, upright position. also, if your scope has large lenses (say 50mm) you need a riser just to get the scope high enough to mount...or you could use really tall rings.

The ncstar model I had could not hold zero between reticles. Whether or not this is true for ALL multi reticle units would only be a guess. But I have trouble believing that a $50 optic has the precision to do this. So I just stay away from them.

My barska don't either... that's why u need to pick the 1 you like and zero it in... hope this helps

I have read on the internet  that multi-reticles do not hold zero when going from one reticle to another. Anyone know if this is fact?

Hard to tell when mounted on a 15-22... Actually, my SightMark seemed to do well switching from one to another, but I rarely do. I use the circle with the dot and just leave it there.. and it holds zero. That's about as much as I think anyone can expect from these dimestore optics. But I sure do like em...

I haven't fired my 15 22 yet as I have been away. I did buy tactical scope for it. The one I purchased is a Bushnell Trophy.
Check it out as it seems like a nice scope. Here is the link for the scope.
Bushnell - Trophy 1 x 28mm 4 Dial-In Electronic Red/Green-dot, Matte [730135]
I paid $94.00 for it.
Also I'd like to know where I can get a riser for it as I had to take off the stock sights. I like the looks of the sights on with the scope.
