Live round stuck?

I have a new sigma and in firing the first magazine The 14 th and 15th round failed to fire. I cleared those two out and it chambered the last round but would not fire. The problem is I cannot pull the slide back to eject that round. I could pull it back the small amount enough to disassemble the gun but I cannot get that round out of the chamber. I removed the recoil spring but no go. The two rounds I cleared out did not have a mark on the primer. I thought I could feel a small ping internally before it failed to fire.
How can I get the live round out of the chamber? I have a notion it will need a trip back to S&W but I can't ship with the round in the chamber. Any opinions.

Have you tried driving it out with a wooden dowel? I would put a drop of oil on the primer and then find a dowel that is close in size to the barrel diameter. Cut a piece of the dowel rod about 3 inches longer than the barrel and insert from the muzzle end. Point the barrel in a safe direction and tap gently on the end of the dowel. It should not fire, but just to be safe, keep everything and everyone away from the barrel end. A couple of strong taps should dislodge the cartridge. You might even consider a few drops of oil down the barrel to surround the case before inserting the dowel. Let us know how you make out and what S&W determines was the cause.

I got it out! I reassembled it and used brute force and it came out. Not a mark on the primer. I loaded those trhee rounds in my M&P and they fired like they should. I oiled the sigma internally and loaded another magazine with the same batch of ammo and it fired them without fail. Go figure. It sounds like an ammo thing but they fired in the M&P. I shoot reloads only and use lee factory crimp die. Don't know why the sigma didn't even mark the primer on the unfired rounds. The gun was new and extremely dry inside. I will have to do more shooting.

The Sigma likes the chamber CLEAN and DRY.

I've had to tap out certain foreign-made ammo with coated cases after the coating built up in the chamber.

The gun is designed NOT to fire if the slide is out of battery (not completely closed).

Check the headspace on your reloads. Sounds like you may have some 'fat' reloads.Crimp die has nothing to do with the problem. Tight chamber may.

Remove the barrel and drop in each reload, and check to be sure it goes all of the way in the barrel.

Yes, we've had reloads that won't jam a Glock (go figure ) , but the bullet ogive jams into the lands of CZ's, and Walther's, and there's no way you can pull the slide back.. Typically they also stop the gun from going completely into battery as well, and don't fire.. OAL is one thing, but you have to have some clearance (.008 - .010) before the bullet contacts the lands

I've experienced this before using reloads in a 1911. Wouldn't come to full battery, and were a PITA to try to eject manually. So damn tight. The factory FMJs were great, though.

I shot this sigma more and it has did the same thing three other times. These are hard cast reloads so I cannot blame it on the gun. The thing that is funny about it is I also shoot this same ammo in three different 3rd gen. s&w 9mms and a
M&P9c and they have never missed a beat. I used the hard cast lead bullets after my usual suppliers were out of jacketed bullets. I ran a few fmjs through the sigma and it fed them all fine. The last time it jammed it took measures that is best left unsaid to free it.
