For you LnL AP guys who hadn't noticed yet, the do-it-yourself EZ-Ject kit is now available from Hornady Hornady . I called and ordered one two days ago. The sales lady (who also threw in a couple of free springs) warned me there was a 4-week backlog, but something happened and they shipped today. Cheap at the price. I've also sent my shellplates for modification at $10 per. I was told 4 weeks for them, as well, but I have my fingers crossed. Hopefully I'll be able to get my FCDs set up in station 5 as R Lee originally intended them to be set up, and can forget ejection hangups for good. Maybe.

I have had the conversion kit for mine for about a month. My 10mm shell plate has been converted and the set-up works fine, big improvement.
The problem seems to be the .45 acp shell plate. I have been waiting for mine since March.

You can use the #1 shell plate for .45 ACP, if you don't mind ejecting the finished round by hand. I loaded quite a few that way, before I got my #45 shell plate. I had them on order with Graf's and really didn't have to wait very long for them to come in.

Graf's has the #45 in stock right now.

Long story, but I send my #1 shellplate and my #10 in to be milled (converted). I asked Hornady if the #1 was correct for .45, they said no the #45 is now the plate for .45, we will replace it under warrantee, now that’s dammed nice of them but I am still waiting for my new plate.

My LNL conversion shipped today.
I ordered it back in May.
I've had nothing but trouble with the wire eject system.
Nice that I can actually use station five now w/my crimp dies!

Only time the eject wire has given problems is w/.32mag and 9mm and only if the wire had been in service for quite a while. Putting a new wire in would solve the problem.

The conversion kit showed up a couple of months ago but I need to get on the stick and send in my 5 shell plates I guess. Will Hornady send a shipping label or how does that work?

Call the Sales Department, give them your credit card info, and get a Return Authorization Number. They'll give you the shipping address. I stuck mine in a padded envelope and mailed them.

I think they are quoting 2-3 weeks for the conversion (machining) of your plates. They have shipped my #45 which is a new plate and supposed to work better than the #1 for the 45acp.
The new eject certainly works better than the wire. I made several attempts to “improve” the wire by re-contouring it, naturally I made it worse.

+1. I was never, ever able to get the wire to work satisfactorily and tried all kinds of different configurations, polishing, etc. Never worked, and I finally was kicking out the finished cartridges by hand. The conversion, on the other hand works great.
