I have had some 135gr 40 S&W Midway plated FP bullets sitting around in my cabinet and with the price of ammo like it is

would like to reload using them. However, I cannot find any load data for the 135s

. I usually load with either Unique, WIn 231, or Universal. Any data would be appreciated.

If you're not trying to make any particular power factor, around 4 gr of 231 will get a plated bullet out the barrel.
That will work the action in my Sigma, but not my Browning HP 40. You may have to adjust the load to get them to work the action on your pistol, which you did not identify.

Sorry about not listing my pistol. It is a S&W Sigma 40VE. I'll be using the rounds for the range.

What is the min/max for the 231? This is my first time using plated bullets.

You can use 155gr data safely for 135gr bullets. Nosler w/ a 135grJHP shows:
Unique: 6.2gr-7.2gr
Lyman shows:
Unique: 5.8gr-6.8gr
W231: 5.5gr-6.7gr
No Universal data but Speer shows 6.2gr-7gr under a 155grJHP. It's always safe to use heavier bullet data w/ lighter bullets. Also remember plated bullets load closer to lead than jacketed. So be carefull working near max.
