Greetings. Two weeks ago I purchased a new Shield 40. The mags are a nightmare to get the last two rounds in. I had a Smith & Wesson 5906 high cap that took me less time to load a mag than it does getting the last 2 in either mag for my Shield. Is there a problem somewhere or is it me? Thanks.

I've gotta second the Uplula plan. I had the same problem with my 40C mags but finally broke down & got an Uplula loader & the problem disapeared. With use I can now load my mags by hand but I still use the Uplula. It's much faster. I've even decided to load the mags on my full size M&P40 where I never had a problem loading by hand. Best $30 I spent in a long time.

I have NEVER used a magazine loader until I bought the Shield 40. I made fun of my friends for using them. I shot the Shield one time and bought the Uplula for $30 at LGS on the way home. Best $30 spent!

My pistol mags were always one or two light and my AR mags had 25 in them instead of 30--until I got Uplulas. Now I'm fully loaded.

wow. no one posted that this was posted before. youns:) guys must be tired of writeing that on every thread that has been posted. i'm sure the person that posted the thread did'nt read one like the same. glad new people are joining every day.^^^^ good info on above threads. loading the mags. hasn't got easier, just get a lulu loader, or if you have a Hks loader that is used for other mags., i used one from a double mag. loader. drill holes in hand grip, 10/32 bolts for stops at bottom of mag. one bolt, out more length for the 7 rd. mag. another bolt for the 6 rd. mag., but out only enough for the mag. to be caught on the bottom. any questions on bolting / tapping the HKs loader IM me. use a smaller drill to use a 10/32 tap, breakfree for lub. i want to thank everyone who helps w/ the questions on the threads. good group of people. it is a shame that all can't, because of location, get together, in person for a coffee, a beer, or 3 fingers. this is a good forum. have a good day.

Today I finally bought a UpLULA speed loader for my Shield 40. What a difference. With tax it was only $42.00 at Gander Mountain. Thanks for the advice.
