Just wanted to give Ray a good word here. I ordered a pancake holster for my 696 and i`ll have to say it`s a very comfortable holster for a med. weight revolver. For the little bit of money he`s asking for his product you can`t go wrong. I don`t have the kind of funds to be spending over $150 on a holster and i`m very pleased with this one. Good job Ray and many thanks.

Very nice! I have to call him, I've got an idea for a moonclip pouch that I need to see if he can make.

I appreciate the nice comments. Glad to hear from any forum members. Link to website below.

Just received a IWB from Ray for a 4" model 29. I didn't know about Lobo and search and called a lot of other makers, didn't find one who was really interested in building the holster. Talked with Ray and he said "heck yea, brother it will be ready in a couple of weeks". Maybe not his exact words but he was very willing to supply what I needed.

Great work, great price and great product. I will check with Lobo first from now on, you have a new customer.

Thanks again,

I also recently got an IWB for a 4" M29 from Ray - I love it!

I too got a holster, mag pouch, and belt from Ray. My M+P 9MM fits like a glove. Very comfortable to wear and very good quality.

I've purchased several holsters from Mr. Ray. Always good craftsmanship, service, and a great guy to boot. My first source for great holsters. (Did I lay it on thick enough Mr. Ray?) :D

I ordered his holster last week and I had some good conversations (via e-mail) with Ray about belt width, slot widths, slot dimensions, etc. I got a warm fuzzy :). I will be glad to post a review after the first couple weeks of wear.

Hey yellow, can you post us a pic of your holster? I'm thinking about another one with the snaps instead of clips.

We will see who gets theirs first :) How long did he tell you? What does the speed carrier holder look like?

If I knew how to bring a pic of it from my email to here, I would show you. But alas...I ain't smart enough to figure out how to do it.

The "boning" looks less defined on this than mine. Is that becasue yours is lined perhaps?

I make holsters from 8-oz. vegetable-tanned cowhide. The lining leather is about 2.5 oz. The added thickness prevents real high-definition exterior "boning", but the interior fit (where it counts) is the same.

Thanks for all the nice comments, folks. I am trying to keep production turnaround time as short as possible. Right now, it's taking 3 to 5 weeks. Had a sewing machine break down a couple of weeks ago, took about a week to receive replacement parts and do the repair. That little incident wrecked my schedule!

I am also trying to hold the line on prices. I haven't increased a price in about 3 years or so. Unfortunately, my suppliers (leather, dyes, threads, hardware, etc) have gone up, shipping costs have gone up, utilities have gone up, and my shop rent is going up at next lease renewal. So, I am having to take a hard look at pricing, and I am looking at my domestic shipping charges also (I'm still providing free delivery to US addresses).

Best regards!

I will second Burch. Ray has built me two holsters for my 3913 and 3 magaizine holders. The workmanship was excellent in all of these products. But one step further, Ray's customer service is simply outstanding. I received the leather work very promptly, as well as photographs of the merchandise before payment. Lobo offers service, value, and satisfaction.

I was extremely impressed with his customer service as well as his product. He was willing to make me oversized belt loops for my IWB so I can wear it with my kilt for no extra charge, try that with most other makers.

+1 for Lobo Gunleather. Last week I emailed Ray about a pocket holster for my M640, today I had gun and holster in pocket. Excellent workmanship, light weight, functional, gun comes free easily and holster stays put. All that plus a fair price and a great guy to deal with.

Sounds like a fantastic holster!
