Locking Block moves

I've noticed when I had the slide off and wiggled my trigger side to side my locking block moves side to side also.

I'm sure all of them do it.

I've put in a small plastic washer on the trigger pin to take up some slack and it feels so much better.

Had to file washer down some to get the right fit.

The trigger pulls straighter now than it did before, feels more solid.

Still don't like just the one pin holding the block in but never heard of any problems with it.

I'm wondering if it's going to start hitting the slide.

I know the Glock's have had slide ping because of the block hitting it.

Might have to take to my friends shop and see if he can drill another hole for another locking block pin.

No movement on my SD9VE or my M&P40c.

I noticed my trigger was loose, not the bottom part, but up close to the frame.

So I added the washer on the trigger pin.

Then I put some oil on the rails of the locking block and moved my trigger side to side to see how my washer worked.

That's when I noticed the oil disappearing and reappearing between the block rail and the frame, the block was moving slightly left to right with the trigger.

I'm just wondering what it will do to the pin or frame, even the block being loose like that.

I imagine it's going to effect the accuracy sooner or later.

The gun functions flawlessly though.

This is a SD40VE by the way.

3, I have very little movement in my trigger, almost none side-to-side. And my locking block is, for lack of a better word, locked in place solidly. I doubt I'd even be able to fit a washer on the pin between the block and the frame. Have you contacted S&W about the movement? That could be a sign of a flaw or degeneration. If your rails are moving, that definitely could affect accuracy. Good luck!
