Long rifle

I just aquired a S & W Husquavera Mod C 30.06 rifle. It is in excellent shape...does anyone know the value on this rifle? I'm also interested in what type/power scope would work best for deer/hogs? Thanks for your help....Ted in Tampa.

Blue Book says at 100% condition, your rifle is worth $475. As for choice of scope, totally dependent on where you hunt. Most places I go, a scope is useless due to the dense cover . . .

If you're going hunting with it, you'll love it.

If you want to make money on it, unlikely.
