Longer barrel thread!

Talked to the Performance Center today. Nice folks and trying to get it right. Hope they return it soon.

This is my addition to the long barreled guns...a 17-3 with and 8 3/8" and a trigger job. I bought it that way and it really shoots nice. I forgot when it was made.
I'm totally clueless when it comes the fine points of S&W's, so this forum is really interesting to me. And the guns are awesome!

WOW and I thought I was bad. Thanks for posting this, so that I can show it to my wife. It will prove to her that I'm a light weight comparatively.

I see that you have the 460 XVR 12" and 14". Have you had any problem getting the 460 shells out of the revolver? Mines been in the S&W shop for most of the time I've owned it.

I JUST LOST MUCH RESPECT FOR HANK WILLIAMS JR. THAT BEAUTIFUL REVOLVER THAT HE CHOPPED WAS ONLY ONE OF FOUR. OF COURSE, IT WILL REMAIN VALUABLE , BECAUSE IT BELONGS TO HIM. IMHO, HE IS STILL AN IDIOT…..

WE ARE MERELY TEMPORARY CUSTODIANS OF THESE BEAUTIFUL FIREARMS…..

I have seen some PC gun with tighter throats, mostly 10.5" guns.
They shoot just fine you just need to watch what ammo you purchase or work your loads up slowly to avoid sticky extraction.
One of mine shoots faster 125 fps faster and wont shoot some of the loads I typically shot thru my other guns.

The 14" pictured in the back (no comp.) shoots about 50fps faster than the 14" black hunter or my regular 14" (not pictured) and the throat on it is about .005 tighter.

Good luck with yours
Ruggy
