Longmire Rides Again!

Longmire-172x158.jpg

Weekly television show that follows the western mystery novels of Craig Johnson with the same title.
Program started on A&E network until they canceled it and it then went over to Netflix. They have produced season 5 and are now looking to do season 6
Follows Sheriff Longmire and his Deputies in Absaroka County Wyoming.
It's a very well done program worth watching! ;)

I started watching it from season one on Netflix last night. It is really well done and holds in re-runs.
All he needs is a S&W revolver instead of the Colt!

we loved the show when it was on cable, but haven't been a Netflix subscriber since the old "mail us a dvd" days lol so missed last year. The wife just mentioned the show, and seeing as it will now start it's 2nd season on Netflix it appears we may need to subscribe; esp if we can do a little binge watching for season 4 to get caught up

;)

The one "bonus" you will get in watching season 4 is that each episode is about 20 minutes longer. No commercials. The cast and crew really enjoyed that Netflix did not cut out parts of the show to make room for commercials like the commercial network did.

good to know! We have a 'smart' bluray player with Netflix app so will use a free trial to test out streaming before getting too involved. But as Longmire even before was better than a high % of stuff on cable/tv, I'd look forward to watching it once again.

I'd been waiting for the 4th season to become available on Netflix DVD's since I don't have cable (by choice) and internet access in my area sucks (by my definition), but a two-week visit from my tech-geek nephew just changed that; he convinced me that a couple of buffering breaks in a one-hour show aren't nearly as bad as commercial breaks ;), so now I have an Amazon Fire TV box and Longmire will be at the top of the list to stream.

Longmire for Presedent

I was walking down the main street in Cheyenne Wy on Monday and there several signs in stores "Longmire for Presedent"!!!

The only good thing about the show is that its filmed in New Mexico. Otherwise, not very realistic.

Set in the Northern Rockies, filmed in the Southern Rockies, loosed based on Craig Johnsons great books, there is plenty of realism even if they can't get snow right.

We pay for Netflix, Acorn, and Amazon (because we have Amazon prime). All have great shows; just not enough of them.

Yo, TG: I have Netflix and Amazon, like you, and have been thinking about Acorn. How do you like Acorn, and whatta ya pay for it? Is there a lotta BBC mystery stuff that is not on the other two?

It costs us $4.99 a month. Yes. They don't update as often as the other two but they have a good library.

Binge watching - Justified then Longmire

After I finished watching all the Justified episodes, was looking for another series to watch and my daughter recommended Longmire. Started watching it and enjoyed it, but wish Justified could have gone for a few more seasons.

Finally have season 4 on DVD,,,, it was worth the wait! ;)

I may have to give Longmire another try...I watched the first two episodes and wasn't too impressed.

I'm pretty tired of Netflix...I'm keeping it for now, but I've complained several times about the dearth of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood westerns. (Can I use "dearth" and "John Wayne" in the same sentence?) I want some better westerns!

Season 6 ?

So I finished watching season 5, any rumors yet, will there be a season 6? Hard to do how to go on the big issues in life without knowing what Walt would do in any particular situation.
