Longmire

No I did not get this rifle. Just grabbed it off the Internet to demo that 'drop block' is a pretty commonly used term.

I often see Deputy Sheriffs in rural counties in New Mexico dressed in casual cowboy type clothing. I don't usually see the High Sheriff so can't say for sure what he wears.

I'm enjoying the show despite some serious gun errors. The worst one was a couple episodes ago when Walt cooly thumb lowered the hammer on his 1911 while keeping the perp covered...what safety?

I do watch it from time to time & it's not too bad,But more often I watch old shows on Hulu on the Computer stuff like Highway Patrol (one of My Favorites) Dragnet,Adam 12

I like the show itself but recently emailed them from the website to complain about the anti gun under tones and inaccuracies

Longmires holster is a paddle made by GALCO, as is the cuff and mag case...

Thanks for the bump. I forgot about this thread. And unfortunately both guns and grips have been sold off. Due to pending legislation in my State, I had to re-focus on acquiring soon to be banned long guns.

As for Longmire, I missed the show when it was cancelled. I see Netflix did a season last year. I tried watching it, but just couldn't get into it. I guess it's just over for me and time to move on.

Considering that Robert Taylor is an Aussie, the Walt character at least sounds pretty real.

I've only seen a couple of episodes. I thought the Henry character was kind of a stack of stereotypes. Loved the scenery, though.

Today is the day but we still haven't watched season five yet. Maybe we will binge over the weekend between football games.

Old thread...............but I hope Netflix does one more season. That means I liked the show. A lot! Along with Justified, Deadwood, and a few others.

I Like the grips.....Beautiful pardner !!!

Never got into the show, but the dude carrying has good taste.

Season five is available on Netflix as of today. They are doing a season six.

If you are looking for a good show check out "Bosch". Either Amazon or Netflix. Flat out terrific.

Wow, I just posted on this a few minutes ago, and then noticed the published date of year's past.
We have been watching Netflix and just finished the last episode, but more are coming next season, that being in 2017.
I really have enjoyed it and hope it does happen.
And technically, I found it realistic with very few "oops".

I like the Longmire character. I think Deputy Vic is cute (never watched her previous show). It does not bother me that the show is filmed in New Mexico.

The plot lines seem somewhat a stretch (last night 12 cute young woman join a cult and were controlled by a weird guy). And it seems that none of the local police departments respect each other.

But it is just a TV show, and TV programming has been poor for the last 25 years. I've ordered one of the books that the series is based on.

Based on a cult from Minnesota. Guy is now in jail. No stretch involved, just read the local news.

I gave up on Longmire when he asked a deputy to get a list of "45-70 rifles registered in the county". I may be paraphrasing a little. But in Wyoming?
