1952 .38 Combat Masterpiece (K138XXX). It's really in good condition and locks up tight with no end shake. This one's a keeper. I foolishly traded away my first CM. Was kicking myself ever since, been looking for quite a while for this one.

I picked up one in remarkably similar condition last year at an auction in middle Tennessee. S/N K 950XX - a bit earlier than yours. Some honest wear and a couple of old chips out of the original numbered grips, just enough to give it character.

I'd a dang sight rather have a gun like that than a new one. I carry a Shield when I have to go to town, but this old CM or something similar lives with me most of the time. Looks you got a good 'un.

Congrats Fredo!

This one also left the factory in 1952. But it is a bit different. :)

There were only 367 of these that we know of.

That old .38 Combat Masterpiece looks exactly like the gun my sister "borrowed" from me 2 years ago. I haven't seen it since. Nor do I think I will anytime soon. It's strange how women liberate guns from men. :D

The perfect revolver in the perfect condition to do what it was meant to do ,shoot and shoot and shoot ,enjoy .

Wow only 367 now that is a cool gun !
365 special ordered for the Missouri State Highway Patrol, sent in four shipments. There were two overruns that we know of. There could have been a few more. I was fortunate to obtain a complete record of this gun's service from the time it left the factory until it came into my possession. Yes, it is rather cool! :)
