I watched the review below and it was pretty positive. I wish Marlin had never been sold but now that Ruger owns them they at least have a fair shake at a come-back. I am not a big Ruger fan however they are one of the best run Gun Company's these days.

Thank goodness Marlin is back!!! I'm excited to see what Ruger can do with the brand. I like what I see and hear right now, but I want one in my hands!!!

Great News and not Fake News. I’m getting one this
time, had plenty of chances before. I reloaded for
and shot my friend’s SBL and GBL several times.

Can’t wait to see one out in the wild, I wouldn’t
doubt it if those Writers and Reviewers get the
nice chosen ones, of course they’re nice.

Someone at Ruger was thinking for bringing out
Marlin’s most popular and probably profitable
Rifle. Great improvements too.

Good news. Wish Ruger would have taken over the Remington line too from Roundhill Group. Like to see the Wingmaster and 1100 brought back with decent bluing and walnut.

A few observations from previous Ruger announcements -

Don't hold your breath to actually see these in gunshops anytime soon.

It seems more often than not that new Rugers have teething problems. If I read it right, sounds like a few changes were made. We'll see if the quality is that of North Haven made guns.

I’m not a big fan of that gawd awful picatinny rail, the Skinner style peep sight, or that fiber optic front sight. But provided it can all be replaced, I’m still interested in one.

It’s larger and heavier than a .357 Mag carbine needs to be. Rossi, Armi Sport and Winchester/Miroku all make a version of the 1892 that are much better suited and proportioned.

I'm expecting good things from Ruger on the Marlin line. I already have a JM Marlin 1894 .357 and will be interested in a 336 in .30-30. Sadly I've seen no mention of a 39a in the future but one can always hope.
