I'm just as ignorant, but 39 was my guess, too. Handsome gun, even in its original clothes.
Your first handgun's lookin' good. Have you gotten much range time with it yet?

Thanx Snubbyfan. I've got about 250 rnds thru her little hard with the holiday to get there, but come Jan I will be able to get out more.

I just didn't like those black rubber grips if it hadthe original wood grain I would have left it that way

A 39-2 was my first semi-auto centerfire, it had the factory wood grips and was beautiful. I had to improve it and put rubber boots on it. I repent! Ivan
