looking for age/manufacture of my gun

I have a mod. 629-2 with a serial number of BDZ6695
I bought it new in 1990, maybe 91.

Welcome! Prefix BDZ is reported to be from 1989, but a gun can sit at the factory/distributor/dealer a while before being sold.

Do you have the original box with end label? That would give the age of your gun pretty accurately.

My best guess is summer or fall of 1989.
