Hi all, new to the forum and pleased to be here. It looks like there is a lot of good information here.

I just purchased a used CS9 today - 3 mags, trijicon night sights, pistol is about 90-95%. I am very happy with the pistol (new ccw pistol) and the deal. Is there are good source for replacement parts, springs, grip screws, mag relaese, etc.? Nothing too major, I am simply wanting to clean it up a bit.

Also, anyone have experience with converting from sa/da to dao? Any comments would be helpful. Thanks...

Just picked up recoil spring and guide rod assy for my CS9 from S&W. Give em a call, they may have what you need. Have also gotten replacement parts from Midway USA. Good luck.

I recently purchased a CS-9 also, and it will be a CCW, as soon as I shoot it enough to feel confident with it. I am using a Sig P239 DAO now, and like you wondered about converting the CS-9 to DAO. I understand that S&W can do this conversion, so you may want to ask them ( I would be curious to know also).
What I suggest is to practice with your CS-9 a little, I have been practicing double taps with mine, and I believe I have gotten familiar enough that I will leave it as is, SA/DA. I think I can do the double tap drill faster, and more accurately with the Smith than the Sig. I also like the security of the slide decocker / safety, if someone gets your weapon, that safety might just confuse them enough to give you time to react while they are trying to figure out why it will not fire.

Midway USA seems to have a pretty good stock of 3rd Gen S&W parts, I picked up my mag and recoil springs from them when I freshened up the 6906 I bought last winter.
