Looking for info on .45 ACP revolvers

I have two 625's (a 625-8 JM Special 4" and a 625-6 1989 5") and this is why I won't be selling mine EVER:

This is five shots standing at 25 yards on the NRA timed fire target. This was shot with the JM Special.

Those grips are by Craig Spegel. Just got them a few weeks ago. They're from an ebony board he had lying around. The 325PD and 625-6 have the same grips in rosewood.

I like to use .45 auto-rims. They increase reloading flexibility & you don't need those pesky moon clips.

A few handloads I brewed up.

CWP3A: Could you please email me concerning those autorims?

Thanks

I made the grips myself from some wild black cherry.

I think your grips and the whole look is a 10.

Please share your grip info.

Beautiful!

Not much to tell, really. I had this small piece of wild black cherry and decided to see what it would look like finished out. I went with the Magna style because the piece was too small for anything bigger.

Had intended to add a Tyler T-Grip, but never got around to it.

I just looked at the CTC web site and did not see those CTC N frame stocks listed. What model are they?

That would be a "Manstopper" round.
I have been looking for them for a while, and CW3PA pointed me in the right direction to get them.
THANKS!!

1. The CTC grips are Model # LG 206. Apparently CTC doesn't make them anymore, although you might find them at an auction site.
2. Since there seems to be some interest in these "Manstoppers" I thought I'd include a before & after photo.

CW3PA, the "manstopper" looks absoluteley awesome. I'm gonna have to get some.

I see you didn't utilize the crimping groove (I'll presume that's because the bullet is so long that using the groove would make the bullet sit way too deep in the stubby little case???). What powder and charge do you use for it?

I got loading data from the Northwest Custom projectile site, AmericanHandgunner Sep-Oct 2007,(Taffin Tests) & extrapolated some data from Handloader magazine # 254. I'm using Unique to get medium velocity loads.
Hope this helps.
