I am looking to change the rubber/plastic finger groove grips that are provided with the 625, but not sure what grips would look good. Looking mostly towards wood grips.

Anyone care to share images of their 625 dressed up with wood grips?

Here's my 625 Model of 1988, with Ahrends retro classics:

And my 625-6 Mountain Gun, also with Ahrends grips. These are my favorites for field/holster carry.

Get in touch with Tom at Top Gun Supply, email [email protected]. He has a great inventory of Ahrends grips, and can get exactly the wood and color you want.

Thanks for all the posts.
The fit and finish of them make it appear as though they are factory grips.
How does one search for the grips?
Is it based on frame size or specifically model number?

Here is my 625, I am sorry, I don't remember where these came from:

When looking for grips for your 625, you are looking for "N-Frame"/"Round Butt" grips.

My #625-3 Model of 1989 .45 a.c.p. with factory combats. Right after the Brady Bill was passed, I swapped two fifty round mags for a Ruger Mini 30 for these stocks, even up.

Boy those pictures makes it hard on us poor folks who don't have a 625.......Beautiful irons.

Well I'm jealous once again after viewing all of these 625's.

Below, top down, are the Jerry Miculek grip available from him ('Bang!') or via S&W or Brownells, etc - less the JM logo - but in wood, not the multicolored Dymondwood from an earlier poster. The 627 Pro sports Ahrends 'Retro Targets' in cocobolo

Below are a 625-7 in Ahrends cocobolo 'Square Conversion, with fg', and a 625-6 with the S&W Accessories 'Dymondwood rounded Combats'. Both are .45 Colt Mountain Guns.

Wood grips are fine for any loads I've tried in a 625, both .45 ACP and .45 Colt - and they sure look/feel more appropriate, too.
