Looking to buy a 686

Thank you everyone! My next step is to go down to the gun store and see how this feels in my hands. I have an average size hand. Anyone have any problems in this area? Change grips? Thanks again! Joe

I have small hands and find the Hogue bantam grip to fit my hands the best. As you can see, I like Boot grips. Even on the 5", I use the Hogue Bantam.

I have a 6" 686, which I use to shoot 25 yds paper bullseye targets at my gun club. I shoot .38 special wadcutters with it. It has walnut grips (without checkering).
I would think any 686 might be a bit heavy for carry. 4" is 39.7 oz, 6" is 44.9 oz.
