Looking to Date k22 long rifle

I am trying to determine the date of manufacture and approximate value of my S&W k22 serial number k 16350. I believe that my father purchased this revolver in April 1955. Unknown if he purchased it new or used.

Yours probably left the factory in early 1948

It looks pretty good and original. In a private sale, $600-$700
It's called a "K-22 Masterpiece"

Build date appears to be 1947 if I'm reading Supica & Nahas' Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson right. Can't help with the value; sorry.
