I thought the real assassins also had Sten guns? In that movie?

Is this why Lidice was demolished by the Nazis? My memory fails...

When I was a boy, I saw guns like this in the comics. I think Vic Flint and Smilin' Jack and others had them.

They had a Sten that failed during the attack (both in the movie and in reality) and one threw a grenade instead; Heydrich died later from a fragment wound that got infected.

And yes, Lidice was a reprisal for this.

I've got one that I lettered... a commercial m1903 that shipped to Charles Leonard Hardware Co., Petersburg, VA in November of 1939.

It's serial number, 539760, was real close to the two that were used by the Heydrich SOE agents.. s/n 539370 and 540416.

I think I’m right with the two SOE serial numbers... I remember reading it somewhere and I made note of the numbers.

This one is a bit older. It celebrated its 100th birthday last year; shipped a few weeks after the US entered WW I to a hardware wholesaler in the Midwest. Finish rubbed off over time with no sign of corrosion or abrasive work; it must have just slipped in and out of a lot of holsters and pockets

I've got a pair. A 1903 in .32acp and a 1908 in .380. Sorry no pictures, but that's probably a good thing since they ain't near as pretty as the ones shown already. Great shooters though.
I also have a vest pocket .25acp to go along with them.
