Lowe's Really???

Imagine how frustrated the retailers get being delivered all the junky, broken, dented, dinged, scratched **** from the manufacturers.

I work at Lowes on the weekends and you would be amazed on how many things that are still in the packaged are damaged, dented or dinged. Appliances are the worst. Thing about it is, the outside packaging shows no damage.

Salesman related a good story. Couple comes in for a new thunder mug. Came back later that day and returned it and got their money back. When they opened the box inside was the old thunder mug that they were replacing. Frank

Heard a similar story. Nice little old lady buys a new vacuum cleaner but returns it the next day saying it was just too big. Gets a full refund. When the sales associate comes up to returns to take it back into stock he opens the box and finds her old vacuum inside.
Then there's the gent who brings back a 5 gallon bucket of new construction primer paint, making a big grunt effort to put it into the return cart. Says he bought too much or something similar. When the paint dept guy comes up to get it he windmills it over his shoulder when he goes to pull it out of the shopping cart... it's empty! Some people refill them with water, I guess this guy was too lazy. The list is endless...

I worked at Lowes for about 6 years. If it wasn't for the customers it would have been a great place to work. Still have my 401 from there. It's in Lowes stock and has split once and quadrupled in value since I left 8 years ago.

And if you look at where it's manufactured "Made in China". I can deal with some Chinese stuff but when it looks like junk before you install it you can image how long it will hold up, then again where can you find US made items.

If you want a Lowe's 10% discount order online and pick it up at the store.

10% off code - 4700xxxxx34874x

Replace the Xs with numbers, any numbers, just make em up.

When buying from Lowes, Ace or Home Depot, never buy anything that was opened or repacked, as you found out.

This is true. My personal best was six trips to Lowe's for a sink drain. I finally learned to buy two of everything, two of the next size smaller and two of the next size bigger. Then returned the unused stuff on the next trip.
