I ordered myself a used Lyman 310 for loading my .38 Special and .357 Magnum, pretty much the only caliber I load now because I really can't sing for long periods of time at my bench and my Lee Handpress is too hard to use one handed and I think I might be able to get along better with the 310. (I watched a couple of video's so I have an idea of how to do this with one good arm). Since I only was loading twenty five or so rounds at a time with my press I figure sitting in one spot for a little bit with that 310. If anything it will keep me from being bored. Anyone else use a 310 for reloading at all?

I believe that you will pleasantly surprised at the speed of these hand presses, after a while you will more than likely be flipping the handles and increasing in speed as it just comes naturally.

The ammo that they produce is very much quality. I have loaded literally thousands of rounds of 38 special CTG when I first started reloading eons ago and could not afford a more advanced press.

I still have my 38 special set up that I started with and I bought another full set up in 220 swift a few years ago. Enjoy !

I started reloading with the 310 when i was 14 and my 303 British. If I remember right the sizing die does neck sizing only. it is called starting out with the basics

You are correct concerning neck sizing only

Die set is 5 dies total, decapping, neck sizing, priming, flaring and seating/ crimping in that order if memory serves me right.

I have used a 310 for .50-70, .45-70 and .40-70 and absolutely love it. It is great for taking to the range to try different loads
