M 19-4 [Carry Firearm]

To the original poster: your 19 looks for all the world like a stainless 66 to me (same as the 19 except for stainless).

Wonderful gun. You dad has done you a great honor.

I started out wheelgunner and owned no semi-autos (other than a Ruger Mark II) for the first 6 years I was a gun owner.

I've expanded the collection quite a bit but have recently come to the conclusion I'll always be more comfortable with the wheelgun and am going to start making them about 75% of my carry rotation.

Here's 24 rounds double action from mine. First 6 at 7 yards, next 6 at 8 or 9ish and the last 12 from 10 yards

I'm so comfortable with it I decided to use it the first time I shot IDPA:

It's a great CCW and if you're a big fella like me you can even find pants that'll let you strech the definition of pocket gun to carry it in a front pocket.

Very Smart

Your Dad did you no wrong...very smart guy. This is a keeper that you pass down when the time comes. Take care of it for a life time. I'm still looking for my perfect 19.

please don't put poly on you grips, you will be sorry, a few coats of hand rubbed tounge oil is about as good of a finish as you can get, plus you can always ad more, simply by buffing with 0000 steal whool.;)

I carry 19-4 snubby in a Lobo enhanced pancake.... a perfect carry weapon. Your father gifted you with a great weapon. Keep it clean and ...practice with it when ever you have the chance and it will not let you down.
