M-4 Butt Pad ??

I'm unaware of any "M4 butt pad." The M4 stock has no pad whatsoever. Nor is one needed.

There are no doubt rubber dinguses sold that will slip over the M4 stock. The reason for their being seems to be folks will buy them...

Cover your butt!

Here's one!

VLTOR Butt Pad

I got the VLTOR Butt Pad for an M4 from SOG Armory, and it works great! Did not "add a lot" to the LOP, but it added a little, and it sure is less "slick-ery"!

Tight groups.

What's amazing to my is that I'm 6'6" and have no LOP issues with this rifle. In fact I usually run it a middle setting unless I'm prone. But then again, I run a "square to target" stance. I'm a N.O.T.C.H. guy and mount my scopes (cantilever mount) to fit that technique, so LOP is never really an issue for me on AR-15 pattern rifles.

I suppose that if you run a standard bladed target/hunting rifle stance it could be an issue. The primary role for my 15-22 is to train for 3-gun matches without dipping into my kids' college funds.

The newest M4 (no hypen) stock is the same length as the M16A2 stock. Both are too long. The M16A1 (and very early M4) stock is nearly ideal for nose to charging handle "stock weld." But at least you can shorten the M4 stock a click or two to get it back to where it should be.

The M&P15-22 lower receiver is longer than a real M4 so that may make the length of pull even longer. For those in Occupied States where pinning the stock is required, you'll need to drive out the pin and re-pin shorter. If you think anyone cares. They don't. Pins fall out all the time.
