Is it ok for a steady diet of bulk HV ammo(usually stuff that
is on sale) or should you use standard velocity? Can't even
remember seeing SV but it has to be available:confused:

Thanks Pete

Every gun is different. .22s especially. My suggestion is to buy one box each of several of the common brands in your area, find out which the gun likes and then buy a bunch of it.
My 41 has a particular liking for Winchester Super X.

CCI Standard velocity is the recommended ammo for the Model 41 and a lot of people shoot other ammo in one and if it works OK it works.

I'll only use standard velocity in my S&W 41 and Colt Match Target. The targets never know the diff.

My Ruger gets HV.

WE try to use the CCI ammo up here in Canada as well as it does seem to be the best for my guns also. Mine seem to like the 40 gr the best instead of the 36gr.

I've used bulk WWB ammo and my Model 41 has a few FTE and FTF issues with it. I normally would use CCI Mini Mag ammo or Winchester HV ammo in both my Model 41 and Ruger Mark III Hunter. No problem with those brands.
