Yesterday, I finally got my M&P 10 sighted in at 200 yards using a Weaver 4x16x40mm objective, and shot a 5 shot group. I had a harris 6-9" bipod and a makeshift rear rest (I left all my sandbags at the house by mistake.). I could not hold the bugger still. 4 out of five shot into 1 3/8", the 5th shot opened the group up to 3 3/4". This was with 150 grain PowerPoint 308. I think I ruined an outstanding group. The gun was hot, I shot it 30 times, these were the last 5 shots.

Also, It has a MagPul handguard with a botton rain, and pidpod adaptor. I was wondering if I needed a floating handguard.

Only thing I did to my stock rifle was add a scope and an NC star bipod with its included adapter for round handguards. I can shoot 1" groups easy at 100 until my shoulder feels like a raw piece of meat (about round 55-60) Heat hasnt affected my groups at all besides a slight POI shift from my cold bore zero.

Sounds about right for accuracy if you throw out your flyer. Your 4 shot group at 200 yards is under .75 moa which is about as good as I would expect out of it and about what I shoot on a good day

You can upgrade the trigger and free float the barrel and try 168gr federal gold medal match. Might be able to get you down to under .5moa?

I had no idea that these M&P 10 carbines were so accurate. I think a good rest would also help. I was using common Soft Point Deer hunting ammo.

Likewise, I'm thrilled with the accuracy of my M&P10. I have the heavier Ct compliant barrel and sub MOA is a piece of cake with decent ammo.
