Took my m&p to the range today with my dad to sight in the scope and reflex sight. Got the 25 yd bench to shoot from. After I got the scope pretty dialed in I noticed some flies about 1/2" long landing on the targets so I figured I'd try for them. Got 2 of them at 25 yd. when I told my dad I got them I don't think he believed me until we walked down and saw the splatters.

Nice shooting. I am going to smear something on my targets to attract the flys next time I go to the range and try to do what you did. :D

MEH, I COULD HAVE GOTTEN A HEAD SHOT ON THAT FLY. this thread is lame... mods, shut it down please.

LOLOL/JUST KIDDIN! those pics are hysterical. great shootin!

thanks guys. looking forward to trying again next time im out. just getting back into shooting a little more. good stress reliever.

thanks also for the welcomes.

was using fed auto-match b/c thats what i'm finding readily available right now.

Dragonflies.

This made me smile. When I moved to AR, I couldn't get over the amount of dragonflies certain times of the year. A few years ago, I was at the neighbors range when I got bored with punching paper. Dragonflies were plentiful so I thought: "Hmm. I wonder...?"
It is not easy and you have to be patient, but I can get them pretty regular with my Ruger 22/45 with Millett reddot or Marlin 60 with a 3-9 scope. I haven't got an optic for my new 15-22 yet but I have no doubt it'll be fun!

That's awesome! I had the world's most unfortunate mouse saunter in front of my target when I was sighting in..... He's no longer with us....

yeah last time out zeroing got a 4" richardson's ground squirrel at 50 yards, but the fly shot beats that! good work. I see a PMC career for you in the future!!!
