M&P 15-22 Instructional Video Series

Brett, excellent job on the video's! Thanks for taking the time to help others out. In your cleaning vid, you mentioned the forums here. That's how I found this site. Thanks brother!

Thanks for the vids. I had ordered the JP Enterprises JPS3.5 Trigger Spring Set but it didn't come with instructions. I started searching on this site and found Brett's vids. which explained it all. I did discover the 2 detent pieces and their springs by myself though but I managed to figure out where they went by myself (I was upgrading the grip at the same time).

Again, outstanding! Thank you.

thanks for the instructional videos,i saved them all to my fav on youtube i have more knowledge of my m&p 15-22 now.

Does anyone have an instruction manual for the JP reduced power spring ? Appreciate there is an excellent video link here but I keep my rifle at the range and will need to do the work there. It is out in the sticks so it would be helpful to have hardcopy instructions if they are available. Thx

Hi Brett, YOU DA MAN !!! These videos are great, you should put them all together on DVD and sell them. Nice work.
Also, I don't believe you own a Shooboy Gunsmithing Hammer. Well, now you do. PM me with your address please, and also let me know what your favorite handgun caliber is, I'll take care of the rest.
Thanks for all you do for us, Randy aka Shoo

Randy,

WOW I am seriously taken aback here... When I shot these videos it was purely to help everyone out there that was new to the platform and am so grateful for all the kudo's and positive feedback I've gotten from everyone. And then to have you offer me, the best gun smithing hammer bar none! What can I say!

THANK YOU SIR!

:)

Two new videos added! Refresh page #1

And since a video can't do justice to the quality of the Midnite Pro hammer, I did a few glamor shots :)

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is a gunsmithing hammer used for?

The same as a normal hammer, but the heads have fully flat striking surfaces and multiple materials. This is so you don't have to use a steel face while tapping on a receiver.

Plus the construction weights the hammer better than something made for brute force.

No more using the butt of a screwdriver when you don't want a chunk of steel swinging around and are too lazy to go find your brass or nylon/rubber mallots.

For Gunsmithing :)

It's for driving pins of various types in firearm receivers, without doing damage. The heads are fully flat and made of numerous materials so you can choose the best material for the job. You don't want to tap a steel pin into a receiver with a steel hammer. You always want to use a softer material that won't mar the firearm or it's components. And as Rustspot said, the weighting is different, these are for delicate work not driving nails. They are well balanced and you can easily drive a pin into a receiver with the Shoo Hammer without even having to move your hand, you can pivot the hammer in your palm.

Bit of constructive criticism - a bit of lighting behind the camera from a lamp or something will light up the parts facing the camera. The parts you're talking about aren't too complex, but it will give a bit of definition and make the black on black parts contrast better.

Thanks for the barrel removal videos. It's not rocket surgery but it gives us a bit more confidence not having to figure it out as we go or translate written instructions with parts in hand.

Great job.

Rust,

Removing the barrel may not be "Rocket Surgery" for you... But for some, it is. Not everyone is of the same mechanical aptitude, my videos are for those that have never before done it.

Thanks!

I agree about the lighting, I need to step up and buy a real HD Video Camera too.. Sadly the one I want is 3 grand and I have other priorities that will come first :)
