M&P 15-22 Instructional Video Series

Just got done watching your videos, very nice by the way. This my seem random but when I was watching them I noticed the bird in the background and was wondering what type of bird do you have, lol:D. Also not to be pushy or anything but to make the videos easier for people to find you should put them on the first page of this thread.

Zunkted,

I think I will go back through and edit the first post to include all the videos in a descending row (great idea).

The bird is an Umbrella Cockatoo and she's a pain in the arse... :)

Hey Brett..! Used your grip replacement vid last nite for my new 15-22 and it was great. Just a few comments now that I've gone thru it completely...

I think it'd be a good idea to mention the two little "detent" pieces underneath the springs for the breakdown pin and safety. When I took the stock grip off, the springs came out but the two little detents fell out as well..!

At first I wasn't sure what they were (scared the crap out of me! thought I broke something) but I figured it out in the end. They're very small pieces, one is plastic the other metal or aluminum.

Anyway, just thought it'd be a good idea to make mention so people won't accidently lose them. Or maybe its common sense.. haha.. but I had no idea and thought my newly unboxed 15-22 was toast!! =)

Thanks!

Lex,

Great point! I did not mention the actual detents because I've never had them fall out before. I should have covered that in the video. I think I will add an annotation to the video mentioning that! Thanks for the tip!

And I'm glad my videos helped you out!

Brett, another idea would be to add titles to the videos in the first post that way someone can find what they need easily, great job though

Aftere watching the three videos , i will now be able to take mine apart. Haven't been messing with ar's very long. I'm a newbie to ar line. I have mp15T and mp15 22. Love 'em both. great guns.

Rip,

I planned on it.. I did that before I went to work this morning and didn't have time to update it. They should have picked up the titles automatically but they did not for some odd reason!

Brett,

I noticed while watching your video you referred to the lack of a plug in your grip. Hogue offers a plug/battery storage piece for $13.

Benny,

Thanks for the information! I figured by the way it had the lip on the inside there was likely a plug for it. I also found a tool kit on ebay that looks like it fits inside the grip (acts as a plug and has tools in it).

Found it! The Samson Field Survival Kit:

Thanks a TON for making the videos! They really lay things out so anyone can understand the details of the 15-22.

I sort of miss TFB making his racket in the later ones. :-)

Again, many thanks.

Great videos sir. Appreciate the dedication to this forum and to us 15-22 owners. Question for you... Are there any aftermarket stocks you're aware of that fit snug on the tube? Quite a bit of play in mine. Thanks.

CapitalX,

I can't speak from hands on experience but other's have posted here that certain Magpul stocks have adjustment for the tension against the tube. The slop doesn't bother me as much since I added on a cheek piece and a butt stock, it made the whole component more heavy and less audibly clunky.
