I have never heard a BWM being called a "bimmer" before.

I also wouldn't go to a BWM car forum and argue with the established norms.

Something "clip" people seem to love to do. A Clip is a bent piece of metal that statically holds the ammunition. A Magazine is a dynamic system that feeds bullets into a firearm. Calling one the other is even more incorrect than Bimmer/Beamers. It is honestly like calling a semi automatic pistol a revolver. Or the case of your PC the CPU.

"close enough" isn't good enough when you are talking about specific components to a complex system.

There will be regional differences. It is a South African thing to call the "projectile" part of a bullet a "head" or a "bullet head", but internationally a clip is a clip and a magazine is a magazine. Invariably clips get loaded into magazines. Either wholesale like an M1 Garand's end block clip or as a magazine feeding device for an internal magazine like the K-98 or the C-96 pistol. They can also be used to recharge removeable magazines like in the SKS and SMLE.

A clip is not a magazine in the same way diesel and gasoline are not the same thing, even though both are "fuel".

Getting your problem solved IS important, but describing it correctly is also important. If you use the incorrect term you will not receive the help you want. Go ask for help with your .303 Lee Enfiend SMLE when the clip doesn't work, when you actually mean the magazine.

you guys got to remember i invented this thing because there seemed to be a need for it, and i own this rifle too, so this is why i invented it as a pet project , not to get rich,i REALLY thought i might make alot of people happy with a simple desgin that could be produced at a fair price,, bens loader is really nice but he has manufacturing price difficulties, if he was to get his price down to 20 or 30 then i wouldnt even had gone this far with project.
so if you got any useful comments or suggestions about the loader then post them,
if not read and leave!

This whole clip/magazine issue in this thread is a moot point anyway. The OP has made it clear that he's working on a magazine speedloader in the first post. He doesn't refer to a magazine as a clip until post #18, which has no bearing on getting help or advice as referenced.

Let it go people. There's zombies to hunt! :-)

Well whatever it's called, if you get it dialed in, I'll take one. If not for the time factor, I'll take one just to support an all-American made product from a fellow gun enthusiast.

im not sure i really didnt think that name all the way the out :) may be "aaa mag loader" so its first in the phone book? ive been calling it the "lead injector" what does everyone else think? shoot me some names and majork your in charge of the shorting it to military alfa name:)so letem roll
lets hear em

Question? I have received a few private messages. about if the"MLK bullet dumping machine" works on the 50rd drum. I am not sure i only really designed it for the 25rd, i do not own a 50rd to try it on ,,it looks to me the top of the drum inserts the same into the receiver and has the same depth before it turns in to the drum hopper.I goggled it but can not see how you load it. Dose it use a load assist button similar to the 25rd mag? If a Simple modification needs to be made before molding to get to allow it to fit both i will do it. need in put before this goes to the tool shop next week!

nice but majorlk winning so far, keep'em comming need a catchy name! note that kinda sounds like something that goes up your butt? need something better lol:).

I like that, too! :)

Well it is a prouduct. It loads cartridges. Clips are inflamatory.

But yeah. I'd like to see a finished product of this.

I'm curious if this will work with Doomsday Tactical's new mag that is under development. Might have to wait until it comes out to know for sure, or if he has looked at this maybe he could chime in...

telero I too am wondering the same thing ,, if he keeps the top part of the mag the same and has some kind of load assist buttons like the OEM it should work just fine, time will tell.

new models didnt make it today, the co. im using for this project is a small shop and has a large automotive contract, which is probley there bread and butter, so my little pee-on project got shelved till friday :( oh well gota keep pennsylvania working!
